500 new carp introduced in June 2009...

We have transferred 500 young carp into the fishery. An equal mix of commons and mirrors. They are all around 8-10 inch fighting fit fish.

They are already all over the lake and catches have improved tremendously. We are hoping that this will bring the bigger carp into the main areas of the lake away from the reed beds.

By the looks of the second day after the fish have been transferred, they are being caught in all of the swims and so far all we have seen is huge grins on all of the anglers faces...

Several comments such as "I've lost count of how many I've caught already"... And that was after just 2 hours!

Some of the anglers were also into bigger fish too. So fingers crossed that the idea seems to be working fine.
