Offley angler - Richard Gore fishes at Fancott for the first time today.

Article text
Richard baited up three areas - two in front of the large double platform and one to the right in the margins.

Initially Richard got into a string of roach of up to a pound and was clearly enjoying himself when the owner walked round showing another angler the lake.

Feeding micro pellets and fishing with meat and soft pellets over the top - these tactics worked perfectly - after two hours he hit his first carp - a fighting fit mirror carp of 5lbs 8oz, this was followed by eleven more. The biggest of which was 8lbs 4oz. Some of these fish were ghosties and koi, all giving a really good account of themselves.

Fishing with meat Richard then changed tactics slightly and started to fish the margins, seven tench followed to 2lbs - typical Fancott fishery stock followed by a cracking crucian carp of 2lb 2oz

Not a bad days fishing considering Richard had never fished the place before...
