August - Great sport with roach and carp

Lots of our anglers have been cashing in on our roach, several 15-20lb bags of roach have been recorded recently. Two or three shoals have started to feed with the average weight of the fish being around 8-10oz each. Check out pegs 20,11,8 and 17 for the bigger roach generally.

A lot of our our anglers have started to catch big bags of carp on prawns. Saturday 16th saw four big bags of carp with some fish over 13lbs. Great sport on light waggler rods.

The fishery has seen some good catches of ten to fifteen carp per angler in the week too. Mostly falling to large worms and meat. Best catch being 89lbs.

Our big perch are not showing yet - wait until October then we expect some very large fish to be taken by our reed beds.
