Towcester Angling club match June 21st

K Elliott won the match on the 21st June with over 30lbs. Not many of the larger carp fed as they had just finished spawning. The newly stocked carp responded well to mostly pellet. All of the anglers caught some of them throughout the lake.

Spring brings better catch rates

Now the Spring is here we are seeing our carp wake up at last... The long freeze over winter did mean that catch rates were very low right up to February 2009. A month on and the fish are settling down...
